Saving the Planet In Style
Saving the Planet In Style is an initiative to further sustainable
design in Sweden that was started by the design network O2 Nordic.
Svensk Form is now the project owner and Kerstin Sylwan was one of
the initiators and now one of the organisers. A website will be
coming soon where news about what is going on within sustainable
design will be published by Kerstin Sylwan.
"We have no choice. Everybody have to contribute to a sustainable
development, with big steps or small. Everyone can do something.
The designer is the link between producer and consumer and have
a possibility to influence how social environmental and economic
aspects are integrated in the design, production, marketing and
communication of a product. Therefore in a longer perspective good
design solutions can contribute to a sustainable deveolpment.
Design influences us all."
